The JU and JU MC students or PhD students who have found themselves in a temporarily difficult economic situation, i.a. due to an armed conflict, and are not entitled to obtain an allowance from the Scholarship Fund, may apply for an allowance from the Support Fund.
Students and PhD students who do not meet the formal criteria of applying for an allowance from the Scholarship Fund – including PhD students in the JU doctoral schools – may apply for a allowance from the Univeristy’s own funds, under the condition that they have found themselves in a temporarily difficult economic situation connected with:
- the Covid-19 pandemic, especially if them, or their spouse or parents have lost the source of income, or suffer from the income decrease or death of a closest person, due to SARS-CoV-2 virus contamination,
- increase of dormitory fee or flat rent for student’s or PhD student’s accommodation due to the economic situation,
- an armed conflict in the country of their – or their immediate family member’s – permanent residence, especially if they have lost their source of income, or if they – or their immediate family members – have had to abandon the place of their residence and they are bearing the costs of that.
Persons interested in applying for a allowance from the Support Fund should fill and register a form in the USOSweb. The form is available in the Common section, and then Applications. There is no need to deliver it on paper.
The maximum amount of an allowance is 1500 PLN, and in special cases 2500 PLN.
