Persons who are dealing with temporary difficulties due to an armed conflict, economic situation or Covid-19 pandemic, and are not entitled to an allowance financed from the Polish state budget, may apply for an allowance from the JU's own Support Fund.

The JU Scholarship is an award that shall be granted exclusively to the most talented candidates who wish to enrol at our university. It aims to enable them to pursue their scientific passions and plans – supporting them both financially (the monthly pay is 2000 PLN) and institutionally (individual tutoring programme).

The scholarship provides an one-time financial aim and accommodation for scientists from Central and Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union and Balkan countries in order to support them in conducting their research in Krakow.

For whom? Foreign candidates willing to enrol at the JU

The aim of the Fund instituted in 2022 is to support persons who have a refugee status, and – in spite of having outstanding achievements or learning outcomes – cannot continue education in countries of their birth, in enrolling at the Jagiellonian University. They also may be granted an intensive language course preparing them to study in Polish, which is financed from the Fund.
