The Jagiellonian University's Own Funds Council has concluded the 1st stage of the competition for the Professor Franciszek Ziejka Scholarship, and decided to qualify eight candidates for its 2nd stage.
In the current call for applications there were sixteen submitted candidacies of foreign high school graduates or students, who have a refugee status in the Republic of Poland and are planning to undertake studies conducted in Polish at the Jagiellonian University. Persons who have been qualified for the 2nd stage will take part in interviews with the Council's memebers.
This is an opportunity for them to present their scientific interests and learning outcomes, and their plans for further development. The Council will appoint laureates who will receive the scholarship, as well as persons granted with a free Polish language preparatory course.
