Solidarity with Ukraine – accommodation in the JU dormitories

Solidarity with Ukraine – accommodation in the JU dormitories

There are places in the Jagiellonian University dormitories available for the JU students and PhD students who search for accommodation due to the Russian aggression towards Ukraine (regarding the JU and the JUMC).

The application should be registered in the USOSweb (Common Section => Applications).

There is no need to attach any files nor to print your application.

Applications are proceeded on an ongoing basis by the Student Government’s economic committee together with the President of the Jagiellonian University PhD Students' Association. In urgent cases – when a place is needed immediately – please contact the JU Scholarships Office at stypendia@uj.edu.pl. The fee for a place in the dormitory is 495 PLN per month.

Students can apply for a place in the dormitory for themselves only, or together with their spouses, children or with a care provider for persons with disabilities. Accommodation is not possible for other family members, including parents or siblings. The action of directing refugees to the places of accommodation (i.a. the dormitories) is coordinated by the public authorities.

People looking for accommodation in Małopolska should go to:

Reception Point

(Kraków - Main Railway Station, at the entrance to the platform 4 from the ticket offices site, Pawia Street)

Special helpline for the Ukrainian citizens seeking refuge in the Małopolska

The helpline is open 24 h/day, tel.: +48 12 210 20 02, e-mail: info.spec@muw.pl

All the JU’s students and PhD students are entitled to apply for a place in the dormitory, regardless of their citizenship or reason for changing the place of residence. General information on the dormitories (including their pictures) are available here.
